VIO-CAST comprise a range of two versatile insolation materials, classified for use to 1260oC, 1400oC, 1500oC and 1600oC.
VIO-CAST are used to form indicate shapes, as coatings, and to patch and repair refractory structures. They are formulated from mixtures of refractory fibers and high temperature binders, and dry to produce a hard, abrasion resistant insulation, which is not wetted by molten Aluminium.
VIO-CAST are tacky and adhere to most substrate materials. They can be dried at room temperature but forced drying at around 125oC is recommended to keep drying time to a minimum. If forced drying is used, it must be done with adequate provision for outgrassing and ventilation.
VIO-CAST are supplied wet and ready to use in 20kg buckets.
